Cycling has to be the best way to see the UNESCO site and surrounding countryside of Luang Prabang in the land of a million elephants. With outstanding natural beauty we cycle into the heart of the Laotion countryside and we get a chance to see ordinary Laotion people going about their everyday life. This is a chance to see rural life up close, along with the Pak Ou caves, Krung Sri waterfall and of course Luang Prabang itself.
RIDING PROFILE: We ride between 60-120 km on roads that are tarmac or hard packed dirt trails. There are no real technical sections and this trip can be completed by most people.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 On arrival at Luang Prabang airport you will be met by your guide transferred to your hotel. In the late afternoon there will be a walking tour of Luang Prabang. The tour includes visits to the Royal Place and various temples including Xieng Thong, Wat Mai Suwannaphumham, finishing with walk up Phusi for the sunset views.

DAY 2 Ride into the heart of the countryside and take in the stunning views and see how the local people live. There is a short or long loop option. After lunch visit the Pak Ou caves – home to 1000’s of Buddha images.

DAY 3 Today ride to the spectacular Krungsri falls. Have a picnic lunch by the falls and either ride or take a coach transfer back to hotel.

DAY 4 Enjoy the morning free until time to check out and transfer to the airport for your return or onward flight.
